We have categorized our work spectrum into certain domains based on the nature of work, though our role is more or less the same in all these works.
Research
We have a research and development wing which focuses mainly on novel concepts that has a scope of mathematical applications.
We never have the pre conceived notion regarding the choice of the arena for research. That is, we never believe that all works in, say ANN or DSP, could be called a research, though the contemporaries who work in the similar domains do that. That work which has novelty, mathematics and elements of innovation only could be called as research work. Or in better words, that work which makes you strongly convinced by the fact that ‘pleasure is intrinsic’ could be called a research. We do a technical viability study as well as preliminary financial viability study before the commencement of any such research works. Once the technical part of the research is complete, we conduct a detailed business viability analysis as well.
Our current research work is on protocol design for multiple channel RF communication. This work is meant to facilitate the cost reduction for one of our own projects. We are giving R&D support to other organizations as well.
Product development
Product development is just below the R&D layer in the protocol structure of any innovative business venture. Once a prototype is generated by the research wing, we do product cost optimization and product design. We often outsource this part of work to a sister concern of ours. Currently, we are developing a video screen for one of our clients.
Design consultancy
We are doing design consultancy works for other companies, where we deliver the technology as per the client requirements. We input our own business ideas into their products and incorporate it into the technical development process.
Technical training
More than business, this part of work is purely part of the various socially committed activities that vedvistara conducts. We have a ‘bond of affection’ with STED Kerala, because of the motivation and moral support which the officials of STED have always showered on us. We have conducted a training program on LED lighting, as a part of the ‘LED street light manufacturing’ project of STED.
